HDX shovels are built with 1.25” round tube stainless steel for shaft and handles and 3mm Hardox steel plate for the blades. Hardox is a brand of wear-resistant steel plates manufactured by SSAB, known for its high hardness, toughness, and abrasion resistance. It's designed to withstand heavy impacts and wear in demanding applications, offering a longer service life compared to standard steels. Hardox steel has been used for many uses in the construction industry to build excavator buckets and dump truck side walls and this is why it was our top choice for fabricating our HDX tools and why we offer lifetime warranty on all HDX products.
